Fact and Fiction where Health and Fitness are Concerned

By Jayson Hunks

There are many truths about health and fitness, and some lies that are not really untrue. Each body reacts differently to exercise. What is correct for one person may not be necessarily correct for others, or some percentage of other people. On a case by case basis everyone has to deal with questionable truths and information. You never know what may be uncovered by doing some research, so ideally you should take the time to research and learn. Research is the only way to make sure there is solid information about health and fitness.

You've probably heard that swimming is good for losing weight. So, we will now tell you that is not so - it is not true. Losing weight is not a benefit you will gain from swimming although there are many other benefits you will gain. In fact the water buoyancy that supports you during this exercise takes away from the aerobic aspects of a weight loss exercise such as jogging or running long distances.

Everyone has heard that regular exercise can help you have more energy especially when talking about a biking exercise like the use of a spinning bike device. This really is a benefit of regular exercise. People report feeling energized all day when they exercise in the morning. Increased circulation is one of the many reasons for feeling more energized after a workout. As your circulation is improved, your cells receive more oxygen. Regular exercise can also help improve your strength and stamina. So if you have more stamina, then naturally you will feel like you have more energy.

Grumbling about exercising at a specific time of day or that they cannot get used to it is what many people are saying. There are certain accounts where we have to call people out on, such as your body does have a natural circadian cycle. If you are working out early in the morning and your body is telling you it is too early just give it some time to adjust. The point is that once you break through your resistance and exercise after work, your body will have more energy to actually do it.

There are truths and falsehoods or myths in health and fitness in all areas. You will locate them in statements that are vague as well as those specifically geared toward specific types of exercise or physical exertion. No matter what, though, do some quality reading and research and give serious thought to what you are doing.
