In cases where you search at reality based methods of self-defense you will find a similar thing time and time again. The use of sports based methods ascribed to the street. The only difference is the guys demonstrating the strategies are in street clothes or in sports attire. To start with any sports techniques, you need to work and deal with as much success in a real life circumstances; more so you need to be prepared in street fighting techniques rather than in the ring. Then why do you use kick boxing tactics in a street fight? Many people use self defense wrench in life threatening situations.

Certainly you will eventually drive the nail using the wrench although it will be much longer and may require so much effort than using the correct tool for the job. In cases where you think you are going to shock the martial arts world with the chin jabs and edge of hands, you better think again. Besides illegal in some cases, real self-defense is meant to operate under a different pair of parameters. The first and foremost is the reality that you could be killed. The adrenaline will only allow you to do a couple of functions.

You will find a sensation of urgency that will cause you to react promptly and will continue to go full speed until it's over. Think of it this way. Don't forget, combat sports are the same and offer the same features as real combat fighting styles and vice-versa, although that's it. Combat sports come with rules. Combat sports have a specific time and place. Combat sports use protective gear. Combat sports enable you to know who your opponent is.

Combat sports ensure that you could have some degree of safety and that you and your play-mate or sparring mate will act in a particular way. Basically, preparing yourself for self defense is infinitely easier than preparing your self for combat sports. You only need to study a hand full of methods and practice them over and over again. The actual dilemma is preparing your own self mentally to pull the trigger when the situation calls for it. The hardest part is getting started.

Have you got the answer to get the job finished? Will you stop when the moment of truth arrives? Because when you have been trained properly and you train tough enough you won't experience any uncertainties. Whenever you are aware that you have left no stone unturned in your own practice, you will not falter. By means of training you gain self-confidence and experience. By means of self-assurance and experience you become successful in what you do.
