Defending Kids Even If You Aren't Around

By Relph A Soles

Dave was in a hurry to go home. He just received his very first paycheck and wished to share the good news along with us. He was planning a modest treat for his siblings. But, rather than a happy young man, it was a bloodied boy who got inside our home. He had been robbed, and also beaten while resisting.

My first thought was that he needed a strong stun weapon for protection. This would have kept him free from injury or, at least, quite a bit less bloody. It was non deadly and induced no irreversible harm.

Even a half-second contact on vulnerable areas of the body, like the shoulders as well as stomach, can make you confused and losing muscle control. Dave could have escaped with his money in case he was equipped with one.

I possess a low voltage stun gun myself. With under a million volts, it yields electrical shock effects which are milder but still able to disable an attacker momentarily. Having utilized it one time, I am aware I never seriously harm the drug abuser who accosted me.

As I helped clean up my kid, I asked if he wished to carry a self-defense device. I spotted anger in his own eyes and knew he required no convincing.

Like other parents, I would like to protect my children from the big bad world. But, with them becoming bigger than me, having them armed with something to do this on their own minimizes my worry.

I am thinking of getting Dave a 300,000-volt Stun Master curved stun weapon. Stun weapons work swiftly even through 1/2-inch-thick clothes to cut off the energy supply to the muscles, so you lose control and balance. This is enough for a victim to be released by the crook, gather his own bearings and flee.

My kid is recuperating from his experience. Just several bruises are seen. He's still ticked off at what went down and has begged me to obtain him a very powerful stun gun that is going to let him to handle bad guys next time.
