Kettlebells to Assist In Wrestler Rehabilitation

By Rob Sutter

Just in the recent past, one of my favorite wrestlers in World Wrestling Entertainment today, Tyson Kidd, endured a torn ACL. As a result, his estimated time out of the ring could be anywhere from ten months to one full year. It's arduous for wrestlers to be away from the business for that long - not counting the rehabilitation routine - but I think this is the perfect opportunity to use kettlebells. These very weights could be used to assist the return to the ring that much more.

People who may not know about this subject may wonder, "how can kettlebells help people get in shape?" Well, it's worth noting that fitness authorities like Lorna can highlight just how well the weights fit into wrestling. With this particular spectacle, people want to see a series of athletic moves and capabilities done in front of theme. These weights aren't set to one strict motion and they can be used in a litany of fashions unlike the dumbbells which people may see as standard.

It's possible that rehabilitation can be a slow-moving process. Sometimes an injury can be so severe as a broken bone or severed muscle that people can take a year to come back into the game. Staying physical can be impossible, though what if I were to tell you that kettlebells can assist people who are attempting to come back into action sooner? A wrestler can work at his or her pace and further injury isn't something that has to be worried about, either.

Perhaps the largest sized reason why I can advocate this form of exercise above any other is just how convenient it is. Even if someone is making efforts to recover, it's still possible that they can work out since the weights are so flexible. One can easily get a good day's work out in at home since the weights are portable and easy to carry from one place to another. Since a wrestler wouldn't have to leave their house in order to stay in shape, it stands as another reason to utilize them much more frequently.

I feel terrible for Kidd and my only expectation is that he recovers promptly and comes back rejuvenated because he deserves it. He's one of the most capable performers I've seen in today's wrestling scenery. Even though he may be neglected because of a shorter size, for instance, there's no question that his level of talent is quite lofty. Maybe if he were to stay in shape during his time away from the ring, these unique weights would be fantastic.
