Dancing should be treated as a medium of fun and excitement and not just some serious bodily steps that are too stiff and serious. Instructors would also appreciate students that are punctual and shows interest in the activity. Make it a habit of giving yourself time for stretching before the class begins.

Wear the appropriate attire upon coming into class and your teacher will prescribe this ahead of time basing on the dancing style that you will be trained on. Be certain that the clothes you wear would just be the right fit which is not too loose nor too tight so that you can move comfortably.

When the lessons have started, clear out your mind before coming into the studio room and this should always be remembered. Leave all outside issues and concerns behind the walls of the room to keep distractions away and making dancing as a channel to relief from stress.

When taking beginner dance classes, it does not matter if you are a fast learner or a slow one as long as you have that burning desire to learn. The process must be learned at your own pace because everyone has different speeds. Also, avoid comparing yourself to other people.
